Under the leadership of James Kallembach, Director of Chapel Music, and Mollie Stone, University Chorus Director, the four choral ensembles at the University of Chicago include the University Chorus, Motet Choir, Women's Ensemble, and Rockefeller Chapel Choir. Collectively these choirs offer a meaningful variety of repertoire, ensemble sizes, and concert formats. For students interested in developing their solo vocal abilities further, the Vocal Studies Program, led by soprano Patrice Michaels, offers both individual and group coaching plus masterclasses, workshops, and numerous performance opportunities throughout the year. The Early Music Ensemble, Middle East Music Ensemble, and South Asian Music Ensemble provide further opportunities for singers who are interested in these specialized repertories.
