About

I’m currently interested intersections between music theory and meditation practice, that is, what affordances can be found between embodied meditation practices—especially Zen and Vipassana meditation techniques—and aesthetically oriented listening experiences. I’m particularly interested in composers who explicitly reference meditation traditions (Pauline Oliveros, Éliane Radigue, Joanna Brouk, et al.), as well as the work of John Cage and other conceptual artists in general who are concerned with ontology and sound studies.
